It was a busy and social week for six20five and From the Attic. In Vlog Sunday #5 We talk about my newest activities on social media and the impact those efforts are having on the blog.
Also, it is time for a new way to manage the daily task I have for all the side hustling. I am giving up the calendar and considering a list-based way to manage the projects and tasks. Watch below for more!

Let’s Get Social!
This week was a week of progress, even if that progress wasn’t in terms of growing pageviews or better revenues. The growth we saw this week was more about overcoming obstacles that will prevent the growth we want in the future.
Social media had been an afterthought for years, but now that it is the best way for me to spread the word about From the Attic and six20five Media, I had to destroy this barrier.
We grew by joining Instagram, becoming more active on Twitter, by joining blogging groups on Facebook. We also actively participated in these outlets, which is really the most important piece.
If we join all these places and groups but don’t say a word, then there was no point in spending the energy to sign up.
Planning has to change
The struggle has been real regarding time and project management. I wish it was because I am not good at following a schedule, but the truth is I can’t stay focused on one thing at a time.
I am working on a new system to help stay on task rather than on time. I will be sharing the details with you once I have developed and tested something. I don’t want to share a method with you that I have not tried.

The Week Ahead
I will be focusing more on my voice-over efforts as I record some new demo material. I will share some of the process with you in the coming weeks.
Since social media was such a big factor this week, I will try to track the engagement this week to see what is working and where I may be able to spend less energy.
