Voice-Over Progress Made in Baby Steps – Vlog Sunday

It is week 6 of Vlog Sunday and the theme seems to be progression. I’ve made voice-over progress by finally recording some demo material. We also take a look at the growth six20five Media saw this week on social media, and it came from an unlikely source.

Voice-Over Progress: Demos Done

After weeks of talking about voice-over demos, I finally recorded material I can use. In the process of recording the material, I also got vlog footage of the process. I originally wanted to share the process with you. My plans have changed based on what I saw in the footage.

Overall the sound files turned out okay. Good enough to use for now, but I will need to make improvements in the next batch I record. The next step is to distribute the files through different portals in hopes someone will hire me.

It is small, but needed progress in an area I have neglected since day one. The progress has also shown me that I need to be sure I am prepared to create content when I create content.

Preparation is Key, My Boy!

I genuinely thought it was a great idea to share with you recording the voice-over demo material. Good intentions only go so far.  The process felt good, but when I looked back at the video and listened to the things I said, it was obvious I was lost.

What I did not account for was the fact that I had not edited audio ina long time. Only a short time past before I was back into my groove, but the video product suffered majorly.

I will still use the video footage, but now in a different way. This is okay because I can still deliver some useful content next week. Silver Lining: I can record more video the next time I update my demo material

Does my new to-do list work?

On Thursday, I posted how to create a simple, effective to-do list.  Honestly, it was more for me to work out an easy way to organize my efforts. I shared the process with you in hopes it would help. Sometimes our own to-do lists can consume us. They become complicated, intertwined task lists that eat every second of our day.

After only one week of use, I can say I at least found a system for me. I urge you to try it out.

If you missed it, you can read the post here. Also, pair this with how to create a content idea list and really become productive!
