Making Progress Toward our Goals - From the Attic

It felt like a short week because of the holiday, but that didn’t stop us from making progress toward our goals and planning new content from six20five Media and From the Attic.

Making Progress Toward our Goals

While we didn’t do everything we planned, the effort we did make put us one step closer to meeting our goals. Social media is our most-effective marketing tool and we gain a few more followers.

In the grand scheme, it may not seem like epic gains, but it signifies upward movement.  With continued engagement, these numbers should keep increasing.

Social Media Dependency

The blog is preforming well beyond what I expected, but our numbers have been totally reliant on social media traffic. If we want to grow, we need to generate more organic traffic. With new content launching this month, we might have a chance at increasing the organic traffic.

We are also limiting the time spent interacting with social media groups to help save time and/or use our time more efficiently and effectively. Will it help or hurt our efforts? We’ll have the answer by the end of the month, but it is a chance we have to take.

New Content Coming

Sock puppets will always be cool in my mind. This month, six20five Media will launch a new segment called Ask a Sock Puppet. This content will give viewers the chance to ask a sock puppet any question related to a weekly topic.

Will the sock puppet have deep insight into the issues of today? Well, no. It is only a sock puppet, but it should still be fun.

Workout Wednesday is another new segment that will launch this month and will focus on voice exercises to improve our voice-over skills. Each week I will conduct an exercise to improve my abilities and give you some ideas on how to be a better voice-over artist.

The ideas won’t be mine at first. I’m still a beginner and will need to follow the guidance of those actually know what they are talking about. But, at least I can give you an idea of what advice works, and what doesn’t work.

Time Feels Scarce

This week was a lesson in not focusing on the amount of time you have or are spending to complete a project. Now, I did complete the tasks I needed to complete, but at a cost to time. We just evaluated our performance to set goals, now we much evaluate or use of time to set limits or better use that time.
