We Landed our First Voice-over Job
It is has been a long road, but our efforts are finally paying off. This weekend we got hired to do our first voice-over job. It is a 30,000 word, non-fiction title. I will provide more details once the project is complete.
I have already started the recording process and am learning a ton about what really goes into recording an audiobook. The time and effort absolutely dwarfs any content that I have produced over the last 4 months. Luckily, I have 10 days to complete it.

Lazy October - Great for Perspective, Bad for Numbers
This really should not be a surprise. We took a very hands-off approach to manage our marketing efforts this month and the results show it. The numbers may have suffered, but It allowed for focus in the area that is the reason this whole thing started.
Not focusing hardcore on views or followers made time for auditions, which in turn makes us better and gets us gigs. It is the number one reason From the Attic started.
While the focus has been nice, it is time to start shifting our efforts back toward building the foundation of fans. We’ll talk more about that next month, but for now, I’m going to enjoy a few more days of lazy October.
